Beneath society's greatest problems we unearth corruption

We are going after the responsible parties; those in charge; those who make decisions for others and those who —for the benefit of the few— hurt us all.

Diáfano came to be
due cases like this

Distribution of tainted horse and donkey meat to Colombian children.

Fernando Trujillo Gómez, a well-known merchant from Santander who is known to all as "Godfather", was imprisoned for supplying regional actors with meat from diseased donkeys and horses to be distributed to children as part of their government-issued meals.

Radioactive materials in Mexico and the USA

The Ciudad Juarez Cobalt-60 contamination incident was the unintended dispersion of 450 curies of cobalt-60 in 1987 originating in a radio-therapy unit illegally purchased by a private healthcare company in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Mexico which was later disassembled due to a lack of personnel to operate it. The radioactive material eventually made its way to a junkyard, where it was smelted with other metals, which resulted in the production of six thousand tonnes of tainted steel rebar. This material was distributed to 15 states in Mexico as well as other US cities. It is estimated that four thousand people were exposed to radiation as a result of this incident.

Medellin's "false positives"

Around 2016 the Colombian national go ernment launched an incentive models aimed at soldiers and consisting consisting of rewarding soldiers for casualties of enemy combatants. This model is widely known to have triggered extra-judicial killings of civilians. The scandal broke as a result of reports by victim family members who revealed that troops had executed civilians to present them as enemy combatants killed in action. A congress probe estimates over 2,000 civilian casualties.
